Actually, authenticity is a matter of looking inside and then … only coherence.
We must be very attentive so that our language does not betray us. We cannot spoil all our effort for unconscious communication.
The humbleness of the leader will allow to create the right climate so that his team comfortably shares his views according his open questions.
Benefits of assertiveness go beyond the apparent direct benefits. When we are assertive, not only we are expressing with clarity what we think and feel, we are generating in our interlocutors the confidence on the foreseeability of our speech.
Tool 1 – Empathy. To align objectives and motivate your team you have to know your people well, understand what moves them and why do they act as they do.
Should companies be concerned about the emotional state of their associates? Or their priority should be focused on the statement of account?
Focus. Our day to day brings us to be attentive to several matters simultaneously (both internal and external), which leads us to such waste of energy and decrease in the quality of results.
To be AUTHENTIC we must be quite aware of who we are, what we want to do with our life.
The key is in the sentence: «Values are not what we say».
